Great coverage, good SPF, natural look
I have oily skin and lots of blemishes. This product covers extremely well and is matte and light.
This Matt foundation is perfect for one who lives in an humid, moist, warm environment such as the tropics. I found with the other foundations my face would be too oily and sweaty. This mat finish helps keep my face looking smooth and silky.
I've been using this foundation and other products for over 10 years! I've never found anything that compares!!!
I am a huge Illuminare fan and have created a flawless look using three of the mattifying foundations: I used the Portofino Porcelain to create a gorgeous base, a mix of Tuscan Sun with their blush dotted/blended strategically to create a bronzer effect, and the Amalfi Alabaster in tiny dots as a highlighter. In all, it creates a gorgeous, matt "of one" look, wears all day, and is actually good for my skin. The best product out there by far.
BEST foundation out there! I am a long-time user of Illuminare Mattifying Mineral foundation and it is... simply the best!! It is a beautiful product that is good for your skin and provides gorgeous coverage without looking heavy. Wears all day and has SPF in it as well. Once you use Illuminare it is hard to use anything else as there is simply no comparison. Excellent product!
I have been using illuminare since 2008 when I discovered it at a day spa. So quick and effortless to apply - no more wasted time swirling, tapping, and buffing between multiple spin top containers that leave a dusty mess everywhere. It's the all-in-one flawless complexion perfection MUST HAVE!
I used Illuminare several years ago and for whatever reason switched to a "big name brand". I was looking at some pictures and saw how beautiful my makeup looked. I realized it was when I was using Illuminare. This foundation matches my skin perfectly and keeps my combination skin looking great from the time I put it on to the time I take it off in the evening. It stays on wonderfully through my evening workouts. I couldn't wait to get my hands back on this product I went to my local beauty store that carried it. Thank you for a wonderful product!
This is a great product, but I SO agree with the reviewer who said there was a big difference between Portofino Porcelain and Florentino Fair with nothing in between. Yes, you can mix two shades, but I'd certainly love not to have to - I'm already purchasing two formulas, so to mix shades for both, I need to purchase four different tubes. That just shouldn't be necessary. The limited shades is the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars. I still have quite oily skin at 54, but I can get by with Fantastic Finish everywhere except the T-Zone where I need this formula, especially my nose. It really is mattifying, and my skin barely gets oily at all with it. I have both rosacea and seborrheic dermatitis, and my skin loves Illuminare. This formula can sometimes accentuate any flakiness from the SD, thus another reason I need both types.
